Karitane Staircase

Contracted by Stewart Construction to carry out all electrical work for a new build in the seaside village of Karitane, Aotea’s Residential Electrical Team really helped to bring the clients vision to life with the installation of LED strip lighting in each tread of the sweeping glass staircase.

The Team had to draw on their expertise and attention-to-detail in order to fix the lighting to the individual stairs and conceal the drivers and cables that power them. The end result is a striking but practical electrical design feature that blends seamlessly into the modern architecture by Dunedin based architects, Mason & Wales, and also creates a bold statement of its own. A project that was a real stand out for the team and client alike.
